I am pleased to announce that my design was one of 6 winning entries
I've been a fan of Crafty Individuals Stamps for about 3 years now ever since seeing them demonstrated at a craft shop I visit.
I really enjoying using them for a variety of projects and have obtained varied and pleasing results using them.
I make these little clocks which I mount on to a CD.
I have been making them for about a year now and they have proven very popular and I just adore creating them!
I'm always on the look out for new ideas and designs and stamps that will work well, the dimensions have to be right.
This design I have created features Crafty Individuals CI - 248
I just felt that the beautiful tapestry birds and flowers would create a lovely summer theme and I wanted to use bright colours.
The background is inked with dusters and uses Ranger Distress ink colours:-
Shabber Shutters Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade
Card Candy complements the design in similar colours and the gold numerals make it lovely and bright.
I usually like to decoupage part of the project to give it an extra dimension and for this one choose the 2 birds as they are the main images and 3 of the leaves along with a layered flower.
As I wanted quite strong colouring I used Copic Ciao's to colour the decoupaged areas and some of the background highlights.
I then choose the pearlescent brown card to layer the clock base on and this then goes on to the CD.
Finally I add the clock movements and hands to finish.
I make a gift box for all my clocks and they take a AA battery, they can be hung or come complete with an ornate 3" plate stand and a gift bag.
I will be at this event
Would be great to see you there!
